At A Good Yarn, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our customers, we want you to know that A Good Yarn is not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses. Why we collect your information:

Online

With your permission, we collect your name, email address and/ or contact number to enable us to

  • to contact you if you attend a event and we have relevant information to pass on
  • provide you with order updates and receipts

Mailing Lists

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer, Kate Roberts

Access to your personal information

We retain personal information we collect from you only where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (in connection with the purposes set out above). On a yearly basis we review all data stored on our and delete any out-of-date or inactive accounts.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
